Mom Refuses to Buy Her Friend a Birthday Present Because It'll Take Time Away From Her Kids

It can be hard to prioritize your friends once you have a family. Kids, especially young kids, take up so much time, and you don't want to miss any more precious moments than you have to. That being said, you don't want to completely put your life on hold just because you've got a couple of raggamuffins. Becoming a mom can be an extremely socially isolating experience, and if you don't have friends you can talk to, things can really go downhill. 

One mom recently went viral on TikTok (by way of Twitter circulating the video) for claiming she wouldn't want to go to Starbucks and get her friend a birthday gift because it would cause her to deprioritize her kids. Now I don't know much about parenting, but I do know a bit more about Starbucks. From what I've seen, I think children are allowed in a Starbucks, but I could be way off.
